Baseball is back.
I can't even really express how baseball is completely intertwined in the memories I have about being a kid. From our own little league games (can we say Bad News Bears?) to many evenings spent at the local field while Pa played softball in the church league, to our excursions to Candlestick Park as part of the "Little Giants" club - it's just always there. So there is something special about watching the biggest boy get out there on the field this year. We played t-ball last year, but this is different.
They wear real baseball pants. They actually hit. They run bases (in the right direction even!) and field the ball. And we stand on the side and cheer every time someone gets a hit - because quite frankly, they're in first grade! And a hit is a hit is a hit, no matter what team you're on! Oh, and also? Our kid rocked first base. That was fun to watch.
And it's sunny, and warm, and everyone loves a ballgame. Right?

Jack, we are so proud of you! We had so much fun at your baseball game. And Aidan is a great bat boy too!

Ok, I get the whole baseball thing, truly. But I REALLY love the last picture of Chloe the best. There. I said it.
